Ever since I was a little boy, on my first flight bound for the United States (on that very picture), my fascination toward aircraft was sparked. Something about being up in the air at 35,000 feet and crusing above the troposphere, yet feeling a sense of security and calm. That's when I said to myself "I want to be a pilot someday", the dream is still very much alive, yet I wanted something more.
That's where computers come in. As we know, modern aircraft are packed with computer-based systems. This is for automation, ease of use, redundancy, and many more. Here I am today, fascinated day by day by everything I learn, build, and observe in Simon Fraser University's School of Computing Science.

My father once told me that the world is my "oyster", some may take it as a prompt for freedom and an urge to be invincible. Perhaps, I took it as a motivation to be better, and better in everything that I do.
Diamonds are formed under immense pressure. I voluntarily put myself under that pressure. Leaving my home country, the Philippines, at a ripe age of 18, to pursue my dream of obtaining a Computer Science degree at an international university. My experiences has taught me so much about life. How life can be unpredictable, the harsh realities, truths, the ups and the downs, and of course... the lemons. Yet, I am beyond thankful and blessed to experience them since they are vital for my growth. I expect more to come, to teach me more as I grow and mature in life.

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. "
